There are many moments that simply melt you heart into a big pile of mush when you're a parent. There's the first time your child smiles at you, their first time saying "mama", first step (which is actually very ambiguously defined by the way), and there's another very special moment that I was recently lucky enough to experience just this morning...the first "I LOVE YOU". It happened right as I was about to leave for work so of course this moment made it exponentially harder for me to leave. Now that I've set the stage, here's how it all went down:
Me: "Bye-bye Ary!"
Ary: "Bye-byeeeeee!"
Me: "I love you..."
Ary: "I LULLUUU!"
And that's all it took to melt my heart (and even Nimia's - yes, I even have a witness)!
Not to take away from this moment but the star in Ary has also begun to emerge. As of two weeks ago she has begun taking requests for singing. But she's also good at making requests now. For example, when she claps her hands and says "Happy happy?" she has a specific song in mind that she wants you to sing...can you guess?
